Les earned his Masters Degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music, having studied, performed, and written musical works that range from contemporary classical to jazz. Live broadcast performances on major TV networks include side-man work with Emmy-Award winning actor Danny Aeillo on the 2008 ‘Morning Show “(WPIX), and 2010 on the “Good Morning New York” Show (Fox).

Jazz performances include playing at the Festival International de Jazz de Port- au-Prince (PapJazz) January 17th-20th 2015 opening up for the “Yellow Jackets” with Hatian Jazz guitarist Jean Chardavoine.

Les was a regular lead trumpet sub on the show “Cabaret” in New York City (2014-2015 sttarring Alan Cummings & Emma Stone) at Studio 54. Other musical theater performances include a recent 2-month holiday run of “Once Upon a Mattress” (Starring Katy Hoffman) at the Abrons Art Center in New York City.

Music Arranging & Transcribing

Les’ arrangements and transcriptions have been performed by the likes of Don Byron, Savion Glover, and by the Duke Ellington Band run by Paul Ellington(“Checkered Hat”).
Les also composed music for June Cross, Series Executive Producer for The Faith Project  for the PBS documentary “This Far By Faith” in 2003.  Les also arranged and transcribed music for New York trumpeter James Zollar’s album, “It’s All Good People.”(2013)
